What we collect
| About | What we hold |
|---|---|
| Residents | Names, dates of birth, household members, contact details, placement dates, and any support needs or risks the placing authority shares with us. Records of repairs, incidents and conversations during the stay. |
| Placing organisations | Names, job titles and work contact details of officers, and placement and invoicing records. |
| Website visitors | Anything you enter in our forms, and basic usage data from cookies if you agree to them. |
Why we use it
- To provide the accommodation under our agreement with the placing authority (contract).
- To meet our legal duties, such as fire safety, licensing and responding to the police or courts (legal obligation).
- To keep properties and residents secure and to manage our business properly (legitimate interests).
- To protect someone's life or safety in an emergency (vital interests).
Health and other sensitive information is used only where it is needed to house someone safely or to safeguard them, under the conditions UK data protection law allows for this.
How long we keep it and how we protect it
We keep placement records only for as long as our contracts with placing organisations and the law require after a household leaves, and safeguarding records for longer where the law or statutory guidance requires it. Records are stored on secure, access-controlled systems, and paper records are kept locked away.
